About

CEO at Behind Closed Doors, working to build lives free from domestic abuse. Extensive values-led leadership experience in the non-profit and public healthcare sectors, with a commitment to social justice and collaborative, trauma-informed approaches. I bring lived experience to my role, and want to be a part of positive, systemic change for survivors. I hold an MSc in Violence, Conflict & Development, with a particular focus on gender-based violence, migration and LGBTQ+ rights. I have lived and worked across 3 continents and have studied both Spanish and Portuguese to an advanced level. My postgraduate dissertation looked through an intersectional lens at systemic sexual violence in the U.S/Mexico borderlands.
