Experienced product developer with a background in a variety of categories including Mens, Ladies and Kids. A thorough understanding of fully fashioned knitwear, cut ‘n’ sew, Denim and woven fabrics. With a love of fashion and textiles, I am looking to work alongside a team who set their own boundaries of design, quality and innovation.
-Working with buyers, licensors and sales manager to create a product that is elevated and meeting customer needs -Utilising illustrator and Photoshop skills to create concepts and final production art -Approving all strike offs/lab dips/ fabric qualities for Target, Myer and Cancer Council accounts -Trend research, product development, fabric sourcing -Working with design team on fabric, print and construction -Working with buyers on design and fittings -Overseeing the critical path to ensure on time delivery -Mentoring interns/graduates through the design and production process
Working on a range of brands from SMS stage through to production ensuring the products meet QA standards, have a great fit and are ready to sell. Responsibilities include: -Setting up production schedule for each brand by season -Managing and approving lab dips/ strike offs/wash legs/trims/bulk fabrics -Measuring and fitting each garment from SMS to shipment -Organising and managing fit sessions -tracking the production schedules daily -communicating with suppliers on a daily basis -Costing styles with suppliers -ordering styles after selling period -working with Denim fabrics, fully fashioned knit, cut ‘n’ sew and woven
• Working closely with the Brand Manager to ensure their vision is executed correctly •Create mood boards and trend boards each season to assist with brand direction •Assist the product developer with development of new ranges • Create clear and concise specifications from images and illustrations handed over from the Product Developer • Create accurate measurement specifications with correct grading for all styles within the specified timeline. • Managing sampling from initial sample stage to shipment stage which includes fabric quality approval, lab dip approval, trims, bulk fabric etc. • Measuring fit samples • Conduct fittings in a clear, confident and precise manner alongside Production Manager & Product Developer • Ensure clear and concise fit comments are sent to all relevant suppliers • Maintain the consistency of sizing, quality and workmanship across suppliers • Track range progress on a daily basis ensuring all styles are on target for on time delivery and communicating any issues with solutions. • Approve bulk fabrics along with the Production Manager. Record and communicate all approvals to factories
• Measuring and cross-checking incoming samples • Checking the quality and workmanship of samples • Raising Purchase Orders and set critical path according to ETD • Setting up and maintaining files for each style • Creating Size specifications and Import Workbooks • Updating Work In Progress and Critical Paths • Assist with sending approval comments to factories
