For over more than a decade, I have worked in internationally renowned research institutions in the field of ocean and climate science, including leading roles in Europe, North America, and the UK. As Principal Investigator of international research projects funded by the EU and national programs, as well as recipient of competitive seed funding (total volume ~500k €), I have coordinated interdisciplinary collaborations across multiple institutions, managed project budgets, and been responsible for reporting and communication with funding bodies. My research focused on high-latitude ocean circulation and marine biogeochemical cycles in the Arctic, with a particular interest in climate change impacts and their broader environmental and societal implications. In addition, I contributed to large-scale collaborative projects (e.g. BMBF-funded consortia, total volume > 11 million €) and took on responsibilities in project coordination, partner management, and the organization of scientific meetings and workshops in international contexts. I also served as convener and session chair at major international conferences (e.g. Goldschmidt, MOSAiC, Arctic Science Summit Week), contributing to the design and moderation of scientific exchange and community building. Alongside my research, I have been actively involved in science communication and outreach, engaging with diverse audiences ranging from early education (e.g. kindergarten formats) to the general public. I contributed to public engagement activities, media formats, and international initiatives aimed at making complex scientific topics accessible and relevant. Building on this experience, I developed a strong interest in the interface between science, organization, and communication. I have also been involved in non-profit initiatives and international networks, supporting science communication, fundraising strategies, and public funding applications, as well as initiatives supporting early career researchers in polar and marine science. Today, my focus lies on connecting scientific expertise with effective coordination, communication, and funding strategies in international and interdisciplinary environments.
