    Requested and selected to serve as the Deputy Surgeon and Chief of Medical Operations for the Headquarters, United States Army Europe. The lead staff officer and medical operations executive staff adviser to the US Army Europe’s Senior Command Team (Four Star command) and simultaneously a part of the Europe Regional Medical Command’s (one-star Command) Senior operational staff. This Command leads directs and guides the US military’s major land forces; those which are forward deployed and those supporting the European, Central and the recently formed African Command(s). This team is responsible to support a uniformed population of over 55,000 and a beneficiary population of approximately 180,000 U.S. personnel across this incredibly broad, strategic and dangerous area. Provided medical oversight, planning, resourcing and execution for a vast number of ongoing operations and sustainment activities stretching from the Baltic Sea to the Cape of Good Hope and operationally from the Mid Atlantic East to Afghanistan. These operations ranged from base level support to operations such as Odyssey Dawn, ongoing emergent and urgent Afghanistan mission evacuation, peace enforcement in the Balkans and deployment and exercise sustainment in more than 28 NATO and additional nonmember countries across the entire multi-regional footprint. A major responsibility in the position included continual Congressionally sensitive support to the reception, en-route patient care and onward movement of injured military and civilian personnel at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center’s, Deployed Warrior Medical Management Center the only forward-deployed military medical level 1 trauma treatment and management center overseas which supports Four U.S. Department of Defense’s Combatant Commands: European, Central, African and Special Operations Commands

    Selected to be a part of the military medical advisory team assisting the Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG) as a part of the US Army Office of Program Management. Leading several key improvements in the training of military medical field training such as the establishment of the first Medical Simulation Training Center for SANG. This resulted in SANG’s first ever procurement of a multi-million dollar state of the art field and first responder medical simulation training center which greatly enhanced the SANG’s military medical training expertise and greatly improved the SANG’s military field and emergency medical training long-term sustainment. Additionally, recommended the Improved First Aid Kit to the SANG medical department which proved very beneficial when the SANG was deployed to Bahrain in 2011. This greatly assisted in modernizing individual front-line care to the injured soldiers and civilians on and off the battlefield and in an emergency or natural disaster situation.
