About

I’ve been tearing apart computers and reverse engineering them since I was 9 years old back in the early 90’s. My love for tech merged early on with my passion for music as I learned to play drums in middle school concert band. It wasn’t long before my tech skills to rig together a recording system. At 19 years old, I found a home drumming with my first (complete) band, Etched In Red.

  • Mixing and Mastering Engineer at Lucid Mastering
    Jan 2005 - Present · 21 yrs 6 mos

Lucid Mastering is a private, boutique home studio offering full production recording, mixing and mastering services. It has a bunch of the expensive gear you see in all the big studios (ProTools HDX, Neve analog summing, etc.) but setup in the relaxed atmosphere of a home in a quiet neighborhood. As a producer I work closely with each person in the band to find the right tones and capture those magical “moments” during the performance. I’m also a drummer and specialize in getting great drum performances out of other drummers. When all the elements come together in just the right way and the vibe is there it really is quite magical. At this time I’m too busy with other projects to book just anyone so I’m only booking “bands” right now on a case-by-case basis. To a fault, I get obsessed and only give my 100% to any project I work on so I have to be selective with my time and who I work with. Please, no solo artists unless you also play acoustic guitar or something like that. I’m into artsy stuff too so if you have something cool and unique I’d love to hear it! Right now I’m primarily interested in working with rock, metal, alternative, indie and stuff like that but I’m open to a wider variety of stuff. Feel free to send me a studio or live recording and what you are looking to do with your next project.
