Euro Garages and the EFR Group merged at the end of 2016 and since September 2017 the Group is operating under the EG Group name. As the Managing Director of EG Fuel, a division of the EG Group, I am accountable for - Fuel Supplier relationships from the traditional Oil Major’s through to trading houses and independent businesses, managing over 20 billion liters p.a. in fuel purchases - Managing the fuel brand licenses (BP, Shell, Esso, Caltex, Texaco, Neste) for the Group’s retail and wholesale activity - Managing the operational midstream assets for the Group, including Terminals, Lubes warehouse, transport and distribution to the Group’s retail sites and commercial customers - Driving the Alternative energy strategy for the Group including the Group’s approach for 2nd generation biofuels, Electric Vehicles, LNG and CNG - Driving the sales of B2B Fuel and Lubes sales to over 4,500 customers and expanding this activity into new markets and customer segments, through differentiated offers and services - Actively drive the strategic direction and M&A growth of the Group The EG Group operates across the UK, Benelux, Italy, France, Germany, Australia and the US selling over 21 billion liters of fuel per year across 5,500 Fuel stations and over 250 pure retail sites. EG’s Fuel stations operate under the BP, Esso, Texaco, Caltex and Shell brands as well as its own brands in the US whilst having strategic retail partnerships with brands such as Starbucks, Burger King, Pomme de Pain, Carrefour, Subway, KFC, Greggs, Sainsbury's, SPAR, Leon, Amazon and Tesla
EFR (now part of EG Group) is a leading Independent Retail Fuel Forecourt operator across Benelux and France, with 1,100 sites operating under the BP, Texaco, Shell and Esso brands. As the VP Supply & Distribution George was accountable for leading the Fuel Supply Chain including - annual fuel supply strategy, contracts and operations for 3.5 billion litres of fuel - accountable for the strategy and operations of the groups Fuel Terminals, JV Terminals and Lubricants warehouse (packed and bulk) - accountable for all the transport and distribution of fuels and Lubricants to retail sites and commercial customers, including 25 own fleet in The Netherlands - OPEX spend of 35m euro's, turnover of circa 4 billion Euro's - Director of a number of companies across the Benelux, our JV Terminals PPST in Belgium and DPL in France.
As the GM Depots & Logistics I had accountability for - Creating and implement a strategy to secure efficient safe operators along the supply chain for BP’s depots and all of the fuel and LPG transported from Terminals and Depots to BP customers in Australia, either through BP’s own fleet of trucks, or via third party carriers. - Leading a team of round 400 people across 50 locations and an annual REVEX budget of $280m p.a. and $15m p.a. CAPEX delivering over 11 billion litres of fuel and LPG to BP’s customers - Providing fuel distribution for BP Sales Channels in Australia, delivering a customer responsive, safe and cost efficient distribution service that differentiates BP from the competition - Chaired the Women in Operations Network for BP Australia - Part of BP's Downstream High Potential Career Accelerator Program - Holding relationship management accountabilities with Government Regulator Director of Safe Load Program in Australia, JV between BP, Caltex and Viva Energy
As the Operations Manager I was accountable for: - The safe and reliable operations of BP’s company owned and operated fleet of trucks (230 trucks) as well as BP fuel depot network (50 locations), across the whole of Australia which equates for 2 billion litres of product movement and 23 million KM travel p.a. - Lead the integration and transformation of BP’s largest fuel and lubricants distributor into BP Australia, including fostering a “speaking up” culture and embedding a Behavioural Safety Program - Rationalising the depot network to reduce risk and eliminate waste to improve efficiencies
As the Reseller Commercial Manager, Fuel Sales, Australia I was accountable for: - Directly managed the relationships and bottom line accountability of BP’s Distributors and Rural Resellers - 950ML of fuel sales and 34$m EBITA p.a. (increase of 8.5 $m in 12 months) - Accountable for refreshing and developing the Reseller Strategy (3.2BL / 130 $m EBITA) and linking into the boarder BP strategy in Australia driving integrated margin and sustainable growth by developing frameworks & policies - Lead key customer negotiations and recommend all negotiation tactics, including the acquisition of one of BP’s branded distributor in Western Australia - Responsible for all commercial aspects of the Reseller offer – specifically pricing, terms, volume tolerances and credit terms as well as managing the internal interface with Supply and Logistics division
