Red Deer, Alberta, Canada
I’m a Project Coordinator with 6+ years of experience driving progress, solving problems, and bringing structure to large-scale industrial construction projects across Canada. My background blends hands-on field engineering, industrial electrical experience, and project controls—giving me a unique ability to understand the work in the field and translate it into accurate budgets, schedules, and client-ready documentation. I specialize in creating order out of complexity. Whether it’s building automated trackers, eliminating reporting backlogs, tightening cost controls, or streamlining communication between PMs, superintendents, clients, and subcontractors, I’m consistently the one who steps in, fixes what’s not working, and elevates project performance. My contributions have included: •Eliminating a one-month backlog of LEMs and RFIs by mastering PIMS and redesigning internal tracking systems. •Developing real-time budget monitoring, MRR log automations, and field-ticket control tools that improved cost transparency and decision-making. •Supporting complete turnover documentation, redlining, and drawing management with accuracy and zero rework issues. • Collaborating directly with construction management teams to forecast, plan, and execute work safely, efficiently, and ahead of deadlines. Driven, organized, and solutions-focused, I’m now growing toward Project Management roles in industrial construction, energy, and large infrastructure, including opportunities in renewables and international projects. I bring the technical foundation of a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (WES-equivalent Canadian 4-year degree), strong analytical skills, and a reputation for reliability, clarity, and high-quality project execution. If you’re looking for someone who enhances team performance and makes complex projects run smoother, I’m always open to new connections and opportunities.
Project: New construction of TC Energy compressor station (MasTec Purnell as a Prime Contractor) As Project Coordinator, I support field operations, engineering, and project management through high-standard document control, material tracking, and financial visibility. I also developed several systems that improved cost clarity and workflow efficiency across the project. Key Contributions: • Built all project-critical control systems (Transmittal Log, RFI Log, Drawing Log, MRR Report/Log) & managed ongoing updates, distribution and compliance for the project team and subcontractors. • Created a complete Bluebeam Studio drawing environment and organized all IFC drawings by discipline to support field and QC workflows. • Led material receiving and documentation, performing field instructions, issuing MRRs, maintaining OS&D records and building a multi-tab MRR tracker linked to BOMs, isometrics, spools and structural material for real time visibility of material status. Budget & Cost Control Inovations • Designed a custom PIMS tracking system to log subcontractor field tickets, monitoring LEM submissions and automatically calculate spend against budgets-providing PM with real-time cost visibility. • Created a Vista -integrated budget tool (Excel+formulas/SUMIF logic) to convert complex export data into clear cost codes summaries. This system significantly improved budget awareness and proactive decision making. • Established a reliable change-order control workflow, logging subcontractors tickets, tracking progress and supporting PM & superintendents with accurate cost data. Workflow & Execution • Recovered a one-month PIMS submission backlog, self-learning the platform after staff turnover and working extended hours to bring all LEMs entries current. • Supported field & QC teams by performing redlines, updating drawing revisions and maintaining consistent document control standards. • Prepare & Submitted changes orders in collaboration with PM & Superintendents.
Served as a Field Engineer across tow industrial projects- a major spring shutdown at a a Nova Chemicals facility (Joffre, AB) and a hydroelectric modification project (Otter Rapids, ON). Supported construction, planning, and coordination activities with a strong focus on organization, mobilization and field execution. Key Responsibilities & Contribution -Joffre, Alberta-Nova Chemicals Spring Shutdown (Mar-Jun 2024) • Led material coordination, establishing a structured material request and receiving system where none existed. • Built a comprehensive Material Log (Excel) to track requests, deliveries and timelines, improving visibility and workflow for the project team. • Slightly highlighted achievement: - Developed a real-time payroll cost tracking tool, restructuring timesheets and formulas to provide the PM with immediate budget updates across multiple costs codes. • Supported the superintendent through organized field coordination and documentation. • Assisted QC in preparing turnover books at project completion. • Submitted RFIs and maintained related documentation when required. Otter Rapids, Ontario-Hydroelectric Modification Project (Jul-Aug 2024) • Actively involved with the project planning and mobilization with the CM. • Updated JSAs to align with the project specific requirements. • Conducted site visit to assess conditions and readiness ahead of construction. • Monitored project spending and providing weekly budget reports to the PM. • Completed the necessary document control tasks: organizing project files, maintaining logs and ensuring documentation readiness until the project was paused.
TC Energy-New Construction of Compressor Station (Reporting to QA/QC Lead) • Material Receiving & Quality Control - Conducted visual inspections on incoming materials to confirm quality, condition and compliance with the project requirements. - Identified discrepancies or damage and documented them through the OS&D process. - Improved the existing MRR log to provide clearer material tracking for the project team. • Document Control & Share Point Administration - Submitted documents for review, maintained the transmittal log and distributed approved documents to internal team and subcontractors. - Managed the RFI process by preparing submissions and keeping the RFI log up to date. • Drawing Management & Redlines - Updated revised drawings and maintained the master drawing log throughout the project. - Completed redlines on approved RFIs to support accurate field execution. • Turnover Documentation - Prepared the final QC turnover books at project completion, ensuring all records were organized, complete and aligned with the client requirements. • Project Coordination Support - Assisted the Project Coordinator with LEM submissions to the client during high volume periods.
EDF-Cypress Wind Farm (Reporting to Project Manager ) Worked on the final stages of the Cypress Wind Farm project, supporting both the collection system and substation construction. Coordinated and supervised subcontractors performing MV cable splicing, terminations, fiber optic insulation and cable plow operations, ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance with the project specifications. Maintained detailed logs of cable installation, including coordinates, lengths, sizes, Megger test values and installation photos. Prepared and managed turnover documentation for all collection lines and later assisted with the substation turnover books, overcoming incomplete records and unorganized filing systems left by previous staff. Collaborated with superintendents, engineers and subcontractors to collect, verify and compile all documentation, ensuring accurate and complete handover to the client. Participated in punch list updates, QA inspections, client meetings and daily progress meetings within MasTec and with EDF representatives. Reviewed and signed FLHAs, monitored field activities and ensured accurate reporting of NCRs. Utilized In8, Google Earth, Bluebeam, Excel, SharePoint and field test equipment to support documentation, reporting and mapping. Key Achievements: • Independently established substation documentation and turnover process after predecessor staff left, ensuring timely and accurate progress completion. • Improved organization and traceability of cable and fiber optic installation throughout detailed logs and mapping, supporting future operations and maintenance.
