The Global Business Development Division works with overseas partners to expand the group's world wide recycling activities primarily focused on the EMEA region and Asia.
Head of Non-Ferrous and Overseas Business development Non-Ferrous recycling is the primary target for business growth in Newscon. Our activities include increasing volume through our domestic collection systems and expanding sales networks overseas.
Before spinning out the international trading division of Econecol to form Newscon, I joined Econecol as head of Non Ferrous.
I worked for one of Japan's major Ferro Alloy trading houses. I was responsible for domestic sales and marketing, overseas procurement, stock management and quality control.
Set up Hanwa's Non Ferrous recycling department which grew to a business unit trading between Europe, Asia and the Middle East with a turn over in excess of 50 million USD annually. I also oversaw the development and implementation of our European ERP system (SAP Business One) to manage sales and stock in the Dutch and UK operations.
As well as steel sales, we recruited and trained traders and administrators to expand sales into the European market.
Hori is a leading game accessories manufacturer in Japan. I worked with the managing director to set up their European head office (incorporation, VAT registration etc) Developed sales channels through game distributors in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
