- Orchestrated the comprehensive integration of a newly acquired smartphone testing robotics portfolio, systematically migrating all critical IP (GitHub, Jira, Confluence) and establishing enterprise-grade procurement and product development workflows. - Optimized the Bill of Materials (BOM) for a high-volume production run by identifying creative alternatives for high-cost components, resulting in a 10% total cost reduction without compromising technical specifications. - Architected and facilitated intensive, week-long technical workshops for cross-functional teams, training staff on complex topics including robotic calibration, NPI (New Product Introduction), and integration into automated pick-and-place systems and warehouse backend databases. - Steered technical strategy for a multi-million dollar smartphone processing line, serving as the lead product specialist to ensure seamless integration of automated testing hardware into large-scale industrial workflows.
- Spearheaded the development of an after-sales revenue channel by translating customer feedback and customization requests into technical proposals, securing buy-in from customer engineering and management stakeholders, and managing the successful handover and on-time delivery of resulting paid project work (NRE). - Built strong relationships with early-stage clients, acting as a key technical point of contact, understanding their evolving needs, and effectively communicating product value while channeling feedback to engineering for crucial product iterations. - Managed all North American accounts, including the business unit's key accounts, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders across executive, management, and engineering levels. - Doubled the North American reseller network by securing and onboarding a key partner, directly managing contract negotiations, initial deployment, and comprehensive technical and business enablement to support the Business Unit's strategic model shift. - Leveraged technical expertise to provide comprehensive support, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide clients on optimal product utilization.
- Drove product development and continuous improvement for 5 different software and hardware solutions in the mobile phone reverse logistics industry. Served as customer role in the SCRUM process to guide development. - Resolved significant disputes with the largest customer, working out compromises between leadership of both companies and drafting multiple amendments to the partnership agreement. - Served as the Product Manager for a new product (PARA). Defined scope of work, features, and limitations; coordinated teams; personally delivered the first batch of robots; developed calibration processes; and tracked issues to achieve SAT (Site Acceptance Test) approval. - Led the Americas sales team in achieving over 75% of global sales for two consecutive years, resulting in a turnaround to profitability for the business unit in 2021, and maintaining profitability thereafter.
- Acted as a Product Specialist and Consultant for deploying, customizing, and integrating automated functional test systems in the mobile phone reverse logistics industry. - Automated the customer support process using JIRA Service Desk. Established the online portal, trained customers, and defined internal processes for ticket management, increasing efficiency. - Hired, trained, and mentored Customer Success Engineers, cultivating a team committed to proactively driving customer value and ensuring their success.
- Worked with cross-functional teams of UX experts, visual designers, and other engineers on rapid prototyping and evaluation of cutting-edge technology, including augmented reality (AR), brainwave interfaces, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). - Involved in all phases of future mobility concept projects presented at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) for three consecutive years, including brainstorming, use case definition, system architecture, development, and technical support. - Served as Technical Lead for a user study demonstrating the visual representation of a virtual personal assistant, responsible for coordination and integration of 3rd party technology. Developed the demonstration setup using Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) with Blueprint and C++. - Supported the business development team as a technical expert in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), display technologies, HMI, and personal assistant systems, including technology scouting at major trade shows. - Communicated with 3rd party technology providers, created technical specifications, and ensured project targets were met on time.
- Augmented reality (AR) headset for in-car use. Planned, designed and developed the entire project individually based on customer requirements. Using multiple inertial measurement units (IMUs), the system was capable of keeping track of the wearers's head pose and display different information for different view directions. E.g. speed and navigation looking forward and blind spot warning looking to the side. Challenged keeping the IMUs from drifting over time in the dynamic car environment. - Trade show demonstrator: Modified and Integrated AR glasses application per specifications. Using Java for visualisations and C++ wrapper for sensor communication.
- Idea owner, co-founder, and creative head of product for BirthdayBox (mobile application start- up). - Technical lead developer and software architect of both front end and back end applications, including cloud service powered by Node.js and AWS. - Built up a team of six and led three software engineers and two designers (UX and visual). - Coordinated with team members to deliver beta version within the first 4 months using GitHub, working only part time on the project.
- Planned, designed and developed a head worn augmented reality head up display. A mobile application was streaming CAN-Bus data from the car to the AR glasses in real time while driving. - Conducted a user study together with UX department to test the system under real life conditions.
