Autonomous control of two small National Trust properties, including budget responsibility of £25,000, all administrative tasks, realising recruitment and financial targets, marketing and promotion, volunteer recruitment and ensuring ongoing care and conservation of both properties, liaising with professionals and organisations to advance the reputation and success of the properties. Thoughtfully line managing 4 staff and 12 volunteers with ongoing training and development to deliver the highest quality service to visitors.
Firstly as ‘Education Assistant’, in a team delivering a range of ‘hands on’ historical learning programs to visiting schools, colleges and families. Promoted to ‘Learning and Communications Officer’ in 2011 responsible for the day to day running of the programs including budgets, events, reports, program development and delivery, outreach presentations, bookings, rota’s etc. Leading an efficient team of 3 staff and 15 volunteers to ensure a first class service. Also assisting Communications Manager with marketing and promotion of the property.
Design, production and fitting of furniture and fittings for top end, bespoke speciality caravans. Organisation and care of furniture section. Ensuring furniture built and fitted to highest standard of quality and to tight deadlines. Control and organisation of materials and accurate record keeping, including COSHH. Supervising and instructing trainee staff, monitoring & assessing their work.
