After starting out in Survey initially, i soon started to get involved in the setting out of firstly, roads and motorways and then of buildings and industrial units. I did this for a number of years from around 1997 to 2005 working with Bluestone, before finally heading into Site management with Mayfield Construction. However, after moving from North to South in the summer of 2007, i felt i needed a change and wanted to get back to my routes of survey equipment and total stations. I worked freelance for a while before rediscovering the world of Robotic total stations and GPS and getting a job with a large survey equipment hire company supporting their high end equipment. I loved this work and still do to this day with Optical Survey Equipment where i have been since Sept 2009. Good times! Update Oct 2021 Fresh Opportunity beckons and I have now moved to G2 Survey Ltd to work with many of the old Optical faces. All the best everyone
