After an internal re-shuffle, I will be available from the end of November / start of 2025 to pursue new opportunities relevant to my skillset on either a fixed term or permanent basis. I am a focused and positive senior manager with more than 30 years’ experience working in logistics, transport and warehousing, contract management, trade union negotiations, redundancy consultation management, network transformation and budget ownership and control. I am an ex-serviceman with a proven record of delivering results, developing strong Logistics Operations and Service and Account Management Teams in the FMCG sector. I have led teams to deliver operational excellence through a collaborative approach which empowers individuals to continually improve and constructively challenge the status quo, boosting their overall productivity and that of the wider business. The role is to be the direct partner link with my colleagues in Heineken UK on our network operation across Primary and Secondary, as well as managing service and costs within our business. Looking forward to continued collaboration with all parts of the business on our continuous improvement journey with a great customer.
I am looking forward to working with my Regional team and the business to shape and supply a network that our Customers, business and most importantly our employees can be proud of. This is an exciting time to take the reins, the Secondary drinks sector post covid is in a period of reset. The requirements of our customers and the way their businesses are adapting and bouncing back from an extended period of non activity due to Covid restrictions. With rising labour costs and fuel ect , there is an increase demand to closely manage the cost to serve balance as margins are extremely tight. The sector needs to change and adapt to the new future normal, I look forward to being a key active player in achieving these goals with a motivated driven team.

Tasks: To build a Customer Service Team that is able to offer a first class Customer experience. Meet contractual KPI measurements and deliver service excellence. Work in conjunction with Customers and Internal functions to produce a Cost to serve agenda. Establishing relationships and explore opportunities within our existing Customer base. Produce a robust progression plan within the current department to assist with staff retention.
My role is to manage the Customer Account Relationships with all our Primary and Secondary distribution contracts. Working in collaboration with our Customers to deliver a first class Customer experience. With a company turnover in excess of £200m and over 2500 personnel this is both a challenging and rewarding role. Our key customer portfolio consists of the following companies; Heineken, Admiral, Ciders of Sweden (Kopparberg), Diageo, Gallo Wines, Shepherd Neame, Stonegate, Wadworth and Casella Wines in partnership with Encirc. Our New Coventry RDC is due to open in July to accommodate our continued growth as part of a major three year KN NextGen investment and development programme.
