• Prepare Credit Requests, amendments, waivers and extensions for loan portfolio clients as needed. • Takes primary account management responsibility for a selected group of commercial banking relationships • With SRMs, co-manages other commercial banking relationships including the largest, most complex and/or most sensitive client relationships. • Serves as an essential partner to the SRMs who are striving to balance sales and credit quality goals; and supports SRMs in division portfolio growth objectives. • Identifies potential for new lending niches and products targeted at various industries and verticals taking into consideration our current market penetration, opportunities, Bank’s risk appetite and desired portfolio mix. • Serves as a resource to SRMs as an expert on structuring and on the bank's credit policy • Provide depth to the local credit leadership team and serve as a mentor to less experienced underwriters and bankers. • Addresses documentation and collateral exceptions, as well as review and address other key portfolio performance and compliance factors.
• Participation in reviewing in-process credits which requires exercise of independent judgment (Credit Approval Authority within $1,000,000) • Thorough knowledge of Bank credit products, policies, procedures, and goals • Collaborative interface with the lending team to discuss viable credit options • Assign work and supervise the activities of assigned analyst; provide assistance and guidance as needed • Training and collaborating with peers to facilitate improved productivity and efficiency • Serve as Senior C&I Loan Underwriter focusing on larger and more complex loans spanning small businesses, medical groups, construction companies, sport clubs, non-profits, and wholesale & distribution companies • Participate in C&I Subcommittee meetings and Pipeline meetings • Participate in customer calls
