About

I am a patient and creative educator who implements 21st century learning skills through hands-on activities and positive learning dynamics. I’m passionate about making education come alive and providing students with ample time to think, discuss, and play. I pride myself on my ability to understand and connect with my students; adapting my teaching style and lessons to attend to their needs. I consider myself a fantastic time manager, program/activity developer, and out-of-the-box thinker. My current career goals are to diversify my experience as an educator through working in different learning environments and teaching positions. A health goal is to develop a better connection with the mind and body through breathing meditation, rock climbing, and free diving. My past work experience has taught me to consider the individuals around me as well as myself. It is important that we look after ourselves first in order to be able to support the community around us. As an educator I find this to be the pinnacle of the success of your students. Are you ready, physically and mentally to support your young learners? How can I best support the young learners to succeed with what they enjoy? How can I incorporate a level of play into their learning? How can I encourage greater communication between my students? I’m currently investigating these questions through the use of technology such as One Note and Outside Learn. Ask me about how I use these apps.
