Duties include; Security Risk Assessment (Location and Facility); Heath and Safety Management; Training and Briefing; Complete Travel Management that include Close Protection and Overwatch and a Bespoke Security Management Expert.
The Security Manager for 2 DFID programs in Nigeria (SPARC & PDF), and my duties include manage journey management, advise on security matters, operate an alert cascade system, Risk Management, Incident/Crisis Management, and scenario planning, the program worked in 10 states 7 of which were in the North of Nigeria. Achievements: Managed security of over 200 staff with no incidents working in the North of Nigeria in extreme risk locations at the height of the Boko Haram Insurgency in Nigeria. Developed Project’s Security Management Plan/SOP and Project Risk Document. Built strong relations with state security agencies like the military, police command and the Department of State Services (DSS).
First hired as a consultant to build the organizational structure and ToR’s from scratch. After which was made Spokesperson for the Centre. As the spokesperson I organized Press Conferences, Press Statements, organized BTACID Inaugural Conference and maintained media relations with local and international news agencies. Achievements: Built a solid administrative foundation and structure that the Centre still runs on and established strong media relationships especially with international news agencies like the BBC, CNN and Al-Jazeera.
