I was born and raised in Makkah, and Hajj and Umrah have been my working life since 2008. Hajj I started with Hasan Travel & Tours, a UK Hajj organiser, in 2008. Hajj was hard then. Cold water didn't always arrive, and at meal times we went out ourselves to buy food for our pilgrims. From 2011 to 2014 I worked in a ground services office of the Motawif establishment for pilgrims from Turkey, Europe, America and Australia, preparing the camps in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah and running Hajj transport. In 2015 I went back to Hasan Travel to lead operations. We grew from 170 to 400+ pilgrims, I became their partner in Saudi Arabia, and in 2019 we won Best Hajj Operator at the CBHUK awards. Since Nusuk began: 2023 – Al Bait Guest, 400+ pilgrims 2024 – Al Burj International, 400+ 2025 – Abdul Latif Jameel and Seera Group, 800+ 2026 – Abdul Latif Jameel, Seera Group and Holiday in Bakkah, 900+ Umrah I've worked in Umrah since 2009. In 2010–2011 we sold more Umrah visas than any other single operator in the UK. In 2013 I joined Wael Fouad Jamjoom, part of the Mohammed Yousef Naghi Group, and ran ground operations for the UK, Europe, North America and Bangladesh markets, serving over 100,000 Umrah pilgrims a year. Within the same group I led Manazel Al Mashaer, an online platform that brought paper-run budget hotels into live booking, and worked with Badir Global on opening local offices in Indonesia. After Covid I started my own Umrah programme in partnership with RND Al Mashaer. Today In 2026 I founded Discover Legacy Company in Makkah. We're the local team in Saudi Arabia for Hajj and Umrah operators abroad: transport, ground coordination, local staff, and someone for pilgrims to call at any hour. In sha Allah we're aiming for 1,000+ Hajj pilgrims in 2027, and we're building a logistics and last-mile delivery division too. In 2015 I came back to Hasan Travel & Tours to lead their Saudi operations. We grew from 170 to over 400 Hajj pilgrims, I became their partner in Saudi Arabia, and in 2019 we won Best Hajj Operator at the CBHUK awards. I ran hotels, transport, suppliers and the local team for Hajj and Umrah, and worked with the directors in London on planning and on the BookUmrah.com platform. After Nusuk came in, we worked together on every season: Al Bait Guest in 2023, Al Burj International in 2024, then Abdul Latif Jameel, Seera Group and Holiday in Bakkah in 2025 and 2026. Since June 2026 the partnership runs through Discover Legacy Company.
Aqra were a client of mine at Wael Fouad Jamjoom. When the company closed and I started working independently, they came with me, and I became their partner in Saudi Arabia. I looked after their whole Hajj and Umrah operation here: hotel contracts, transport, the ground team, catering, and sorting out airline issues when they came up. I also managed their tours outside Saudi Arabia, including Türkiye, Egypt, Spain and Morocco.
