As a Senior Business Analyst I played the role of a Project lead and was accountable for the final delivery of the Projects. At Morningstar Commodity Data, the team worked with leading data vendors and consultants to help clients in energy and financial businesses integrate commodity, energy, and futures data into their systems. There are a range of products for analyzing this data like Desktop applications like Commodity Add-in & MIM, a Web based application like Morningstar Marketplace. The Broad responsibilities of the role were as below: • Project Management: Handling projects from the time they are assigned to our group till the requirements are completed and distributed to Client servers. • Worked as a part of the Scrum team, in an Agile methodology with Scrum cycles, daily stand ups, Sprint backlog, creation of user stories etc). Tool used was JIRA. • Lean Six Sigma (Turnaround Time) project – Brought in new processes to reduce the TAT of projects. • Special Projects: Vendor Management (Getting Distribution Rights), Research on data for Clients-For changing files clients wanted detailed list of changes and how it can be incorporated into our system. • Mentoring of new joiners (Business Analysts and Quality Analysts). Traveled to Austin for better understanding of products, direct interaction with clients and to get an overall idea of the work process of different interrelated teams for example vendor management and data ops. The position is that of a Senior Analyst, at Wipro Technologies Ltd with their investment banking operations for Citigroup. • Part of a successful transition of Fixed Income Settlements and Clearance process from Belfast to Chennai (On site stay in Belfast – 2 months). • Prepared Desk Top Procedures (DTP) and KPIs for the Process, followed by their periodic revisions. • Single point of contact for sensitive Clients, concerning escalations and high financial transactions. • Worked on Business Requirement Documents (BRD) Achievements: Successfully managed the migration of CITI process from Belfast and went live in Chennai in a span of four months – understanding the technical aspects of the process, creating procedure documents (SOP-Standard Operating Procedures), training manpower in Chennai and regular performance management for systematic launch of the process. The position was that of a Business Analyst (Data Integrity) with SunGard Technology Services. The role included requirement gathering along with being primary point of contact for validating the data accuracy for Global Energy Markets. • Gathering requirement from CRMs and writing Specifications accordingly to provide support in the development of new data sources and enhancement of existing data sources • Acquiring knowledge of Domain and products as required: Domain - Energy Market, products - Applications required to work on Energy Market (Energy Scope, MaintApp, Remedy, Pass point). • Updating the Operations team of any changes to feeds, file size that affects the data monitoring and assisting Quality Analyst in data products and data releases. • Liaising with the Development team to automate processes to reduce man hours – Daily checks • Data Analysis for investigating data queries from the Customer Support Group and creating files to distribute data • Data mapping for validating vendor data - cross-referencing vendor websites with Energy Scope. • Maintaining client subscription profiles and permission client subscriptions using Pass point, Putty. • Understanding different vendor databases distributed by SunGard Data Management System
