Gavin is the Engineering Department Lead at Green Cat Renewables Canada Corporation. Based in the Halifax office, Gavin leads the engineering team in Canada and oversees the delivery of all engineering scopes and deliverables for our clients across Canada. With a degree in Quantity Surveying and over 15 years of experience in the development of renewable energy projects across the UK and Canada, Gavin has an in depth understanding of project development, project management, detailed engineering design, construction contracts and operations in the renewable sector.

Gavin looks after the Green Cat Renewable Developments Ltd (GCRD) portfolio of on-shore wind projects. Gavin is involved with all aspects of the development process on each project from assessing the feasibility of new sites right through to construction and delivery of each project.
As a Senior Engineer, Gavin heads up the Exeter office managing a team of engineers delivering renewable energy projects across the UK. This includes management of the day to day tasks for the team as well as management of a portfolio of renewable energy projects.
As an Engineer, Gavin built up a broad range of experience managing a variety of wind projects from receiving planning consent through construction to handover to the client. Gavin managed all aspects of the process from discharging planning conditions, discussions with Council, co-ordinating the grid connection, overseeing the delivery of the turbines and the co-ordination of the various construction elements on site including roads and hardstanding construction, foundation construction and the erection of the turbines.
