I had always been interested in pursuing a career in data science and was drawn to the beauty of using mathematics and programming for pattern recognition to solve real-world problems. Studying Applied and Computational Mathematics at USC has given me a strong foundation in writing python scripts and building statistical models to turn raw data into meaningful results. Expanding my toolkit through coursework and experiences I have learned to handle large datasets with SQL, R and python libraries core to data science such as pandas, numpy and many others. With my current work at 91Life I have had the opportunity to apply these skills to develop machine learning tools for malfunction analytics and predictive modeling in healthcare software. My personal interests and curiosity have pulled me in the direction of finance. Analyzing markets and economic trends to build an investment portfolio has always been a hobby of mine, and I am now eager to explore the world of finance professionally. I am especially interested in the field of fintech and quantitative trading where I can apply my strong data science background and passion for analytical challenges. As I continue my work with 91Life and build my knowledge on machine learning and AI, I am actively looking to branch into finance and find roles where I can apply my critical reasoning and quantitative analysis.
