Served as an external professional member of the FNX Mining Company’s Health and Safety Advisory Committee 2009 – 2010.
Oversaw the development and implementation of Health and Safety Management Systems throughout the Canadian Offices, domestic and international projects. Supervised and mentored four regional Health and Safety Coordinators. Advised the National Leadership Team and the Board of Directors in Health and Safety related matters. Led the development and implementation of an internal Canada wide Health and Safety Audit Instrument. Oversaw the revision and standardization of health and safety procedures, including the development of training programs.
Oversaw the development and implementation of Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies. Provided direction and resources to the domestic and international Engineering, Procurement and Construction project HSES staff in the management of their safety systems. Acted as an advisor to the Senior Management team for all health, safety, environmental and security matters. Sourced and integrated professional HSES staff into major projects. Led the revision of Health and Safety policies, standards and procedures.
Developed and implemented EH&S Management Systems at Global Thermoelectric’s manufacturing, research and development facilities. Supervised the EH&S Technician and contract security service personnel. Provided guidance and direction to the divisional safety contacts and the Occupational Health and Safety Committees. Led the implementation of Safety Management Systems, obtaining Alberta’s Partnership in Injury Reduction program’s “Certificate of Recognition”. Received the maximum WCB PIR premium rebate of 20% for 2002 and 2003. Reduced WCB claim costs, from $153,494.09 in 2000 to $144.60 in 2003.
