My function with our company is to provide expertise on systems that I worked on during my career when needed. I assist our clients on site in troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling their systems globally at the site of the equipment. My strengths lie in the electrical and electronics arena. I plan, order materials, construct, write, and perform tests on various items related to cabling. I work to solve problems of circuit board obsolescence. I've done some design work on printed circuit boards and microcontroller programming. I procure, install, and test sensors for systems. I have incidental mechanical experience as well having worked in the field of Naval Gun Systems for many years. I also work as a technical writer from time to time as the need arises. My work extends from the component level to the system level. I've worked on prototypes many times before as they are being fielded. I've revised and personally built test equipment used in quality certification and repairing subsystems of Navy guns.

Helped to stand up the detachment which took the place of Naval Ordnance Station Louisville as mandated by the Base Realignment and Closure action in 2005. Worked to install the MK75 Gun Mount, make it fully operational, and set the new test stand in order. Continued to work the pierside overhauls in port, of the 76mm MK75 gun mount. Was the coordinating official on two of these and the electrical test authority and troubleshooter on all which I worked. Worked on various problems on the 25mm gun mount MK38 Mod 2 System during the last year of my work there and throughout my career during which that system was fielded. Worked as the live fire test liaison with one other engineer for the first MK38 Mod 2 live shoot on board a carrier, the USS RONALD REAGAN in 2015. Worked on the US Navy/Coast Guard blocking vessels for the United States Submarine Forces with one other engineer troubleshooting the MK38 Mod 2 gun mounts.

Worked as an In Service Engineering Agent for the United States Navy. This entailed designing and writing corrective changes in Gun Systems, working parts support issues and testing or troubleshooting of systems. Systems I worked on were mostly Minor Caliber Naval Gun Systems and predominately the MK75 originally designed by Oto Melara.
