Partner - Blue Sky Energy, LLC- August 2011 – Present MANAGING PARTNER - in the development of “Blue Sky – One” a 1.5 MW a solar farm in Taos, New Mexico. Project utilizes single axis tracking and takes advantage of the latest in energy harvesting technologies resulting in a production factor of 2.2. In California “Blue Sky Energy” offers complete energy efficient upgrades including cool roofs, HVAC upgrades, lighting and controls inclusive of the installation of PV and solar thermal arrays. With our extensive entitlement and construction experience Blue Sky specializes in the hard-to-conceptualize and hard-to-build projects maximizing IRR to clients where others struggle to break ground. In 2011 we brought online two fee projects totaling 580 kW in LA City and County. My involvement was to drive the projects forward by leading the collective team from design, permitting, bidding, project build out to the system being handed over to the owner. Led the initiative for rebates with SCE and LADWP, Handled all 1603 grant issues and registered RECs on the WREGIS exchange. November 2008 to May 2010 COO at Permacity Solar: Responsibilities included strategic growth and building accountability into the everyday operations of the company. Semi Retired - Spring 2006 to November 2008 Personally built a “Green” residence in Pacific Palisades - designed and integrated systems including: radiant floor heating; a whole house heat exhaust system; a 3.6 KW Photovoltaic solar array and an open loop solar thermal hot water system. •Developed and built a 6 unit condominium project at 2807 3rd Street in the Ocean Park area of Santa Monica. Project sold out in two months netting partners a 150% return on equity in 18 months. •Built and sold a single family home at 737 Navy Street in Santa Monica at 75% profit; •Subdivided and built an 8 unit condominium project at 845 Brooks Ave. and a duplex located at 42 Brooks Ave. both in Venice, CA. Sold 6 of 8 units on the larger project and then negotiated short sales with the banks and buyers to close out the projects. •General Contractor o11 unit condominium project over a double structural slab located at 1511 16th Street in Santa Monica.
