    On joining Creaciones Alves I was tasked with a complete overhaul of their I.T. infrastructure, where I designed, cabled and configured a new Gigabit network utilizing Cisco and H.P. switches, along with the configuration of a new Primary Domain server to replace the old Windows 2003 workgroup server. Daily responsibilities include user account administration, system security and system backups. On the sales side I have been responsible for the increase of annual international sales of the company’s children’s fashion from 60,000 Euros per annum to 400,000 Euros per annum.

    National Driver Information and Control System Project May 2009 – March 2013 . I worked as part of the NADICS team developing traffic management applications for the Regional Transport Authority of New South Wales Australia and Traffic Scotland. On joining the team I designed, coded and tested enhancements to the Standby Message Plan application using JSF, GWT and Hibernate in a Seam application framework. The application allows the RTA to apply planned message campaigns to unutilized Variable Message Signs. In addition I designed, coded and tested a vertical slice of the Asset Management System application using Swing and Java Web Services. More recently I worked as part of a Team designing, coding and testing a Continuous Service Improvement Register. This Facelets web application, utilizing the Spring Framework, was generated using Spring Roo and then further enhancements made following an Agile Methodology (SCRUM). Electronic System for the Delivery of Abnormal Loads (ESDAL) project May 2004 – May 2009 Prior to joining the NADICS team I worked on the Data Tier Team of a large J2EE Government Web Portal. My responsibilities included design, development and testing of Data Access Objects and database schema. In addition I played a key role in the design, development and testing of the project data collection and processing software suite, as well as managing database objects related to this development.. This suite of tools was developed using Java Swing and XML whilst adhering to industry standard design patterns. Signals subsystem Port – Jan 2003 – May 2004 Coding and testing the port of the National Motorways Control System 2 Signals subsystem from Vax Pascal on a VMS platform to C++ on a Windows platform. This development involved extensive use of the WIN32 API. MMI team National Traffic Control Centre project – July 2001 – Jan 2003 Development and testing of User Interface MFC and server side components utilizing C++ in a COM/DCOM environment.
