I hold a BSc. Honours Degree In Sports Rehabilitation & Athletic Therapy while also being a qualified Sports Therapist. I have worked with various teams and sporting organisations in a variety of roles. I am an avid sports fan and in particular a huge supporter of Shelbourne FC and Leinster Rugby. I enjoy working in a team environment and being part of a multi-functional team of professionals responsible for maintaining our staffs physical and mental wellbeing. Previously I have lectured on both ITEC and QQI syllabuses across multiple modules in the Health & Fitness industry. I have also acted as an internal/external examiner for numerous private institutions. Outside of my normal role, I am the Co-Host of Irelands no.1 Star Wars Podcast where I act as a writer and content creator, while also serving as our Facebook Community Manager. I am a member of the 501st Legion where I previously served a Public Relations Officer, I am also a member of Ireland's Star Wars costuming club, the Emerald Garrison.
As The Facilities & Envionmental Officer, I support the delivery of essential in-house and external services for the day-to-day operation of the companies support services. We are responsible for the maintaining and managing of our premises and facilities and coorindating the physical workplace.
Working with the Healthy Eating Active Living Policy Programme to plan, support and deliver communications initiatives and stakeholder engagement support across a range of projects including public and internal campaigns. Administrative Responsibilities: Ensuring deadlines are met and levels of service are maintained. Ensuring an even distribution of workload amongst the team. Supporting the preparation of Office documentation (reports, correspondence). Ensuring quality and accuracy by monitoring and reviewing teamwork. Using appropriate technology to the highest standard. Ensuring that documents and archives are accurate and readily available. Maintain confidentiality of records and GDPR. Liaising with Line Management on any issues. Ensuring communication pathways are open and relay information to middle management Organising and attending meetings. Taking minutes of meetings and preparing for circulation. Customer Service: Promoting and maintaining a customer focused environment. Monitoring efficiency of services provided. Maintain open communications with superiors in light of feedback/issues raised. Human Resources/Supervision of Staff: Supervise and ensure the wellbeing of staff. Managing staff performance. Working in tandem with other teams and disciplines across multiple projects. Service delivery and improvement: Implement agreed changes to administrative procedures and support staff through the changes in process. Standards, Policies, Procedures, Legislation: Knowledge of procedures, guidelines and practices. Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation- Financial, Health & Safety, Employment Legislation, Freedom of information Acts. Ensuring adherence to relevant procedures. Knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA)- Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections and Hygiene Standards.
