About me: I was born in Scotland and raised in Texas. I began my career in the Beverage Industry in 1987 working as a waiter. Since then I have worked for several wholesalers, owned a brokerage, and worked for an importer. I thought I might retire in 2025 but it was not for me. I missed the challenge of the whisky business. I am also a published author. In 2017 I wrote my first book the "Japanese Whisky Handbook". In 2020 I released he "Whisky Tasting Journal - Bourbon & Rye". In 2023 I released the 2nd edition of the "Japanese Whisky Handbook" with over 200 tasting notes.
The Japanese Whisky Handbook is the most comprehensive study of Japanese Whisky available in the English language. It contains descriptions of 65 Japanese Whisky producers and has tasting notes for 200+ Japanese Whiskies.
