As the Director of Operations at Real Food For Real Kids, I lead a team of dedicated professionals in delivering high-quality food products to schools and communities. With over 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations management, I have developed strong skills in strategic planning, team management, and process improvement. I supervised the packaging side of the production floor encompassing 150 employees daily. My responsibilities included generating labour schedules, completing payroll, directing labour and submitting production reports. I also perform studies to improve cost effectiveness and efficiency of normal operation.
I led an improvement team focused on changeover and start-up efficiency of all production lines. I led corrective action, performed process audits and I was a coordinator of the document control database. I was also responsible for several areas of training, developing technical documents for production technicians and applying Six Sigma concepts to improve production efficiency.
Carried out many cultural, genetic and chemical testing procedures as prescribed by the analytical compendium. Specifically PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, various biochemical based assay.
