Responder working on an ad hoc basis as and when required. Participating in complex oil and gas exercises or real incidents ranging from a minor injury offshore to complete down manning of a platform and major oil spills. Training has included HSSE, Logistics, DECC 2 oil spill and Relative Response.
I am currently employed as a Police officer in the Tillydrone area of Aberdeen. This role involves responding to ongoing emergencies, thorough investigation of both accidents and incidents involving criminality and the compilation of legal reports based upon the findings. • Maintaining integrity, fairness and impartiality. • Provision of guidance and leadership for projects, ensuring the success of interagency relationships. • Compilation of in-depth reports which are required to stand up to Legal Scrutiny. • Meticulous noting of statements and interpretation of obtained information. • Prioritisation of tasks to meet the rigorous timeframes set by the judiciary. • Stringent, well documented and fair interviews of those involved in criminality. • Strict management of evidential items and awareness of forensic procedures. • Use of various Police computer systems to keep track of all pertinent information. Training – Certificate in Policing, Advanced Investigative Interview Techniques, Major Incident Reponse, Emergency Response Driver and Residential/ Commercial Security surveying.
Whilst at University I completed training with the Royal Marines Reserves, earning the coveted Green Beret. On completion of Commando Training I also received the award of ‘Best Recruit’. Since completing training I have undertaken numerous exercises and courses as well as deploying operationally with my regular counterparts to Afghanistan (40 Commando, Sangin). Through this role I was approached by a prominent local organisation to conduct the personal security of their key VIP’s and to ensure the smooth running of a high profile event, which included arranging the transport, logistics and accommodation for a large number of staff. • Leadership of a section of Royal Marines conducting any given task. • Maintenance of effective communication at all levels. • Maintain an understanding of the relevant Logistics requirements and ensure these are met. • Adaptability and patience as demonstrated when training local Afghan Security Forces. • Conduct swift and appropriate risk assessments continuously in extreme and hostile environments. • The continuous attraction and recruitment of new recruits. • The ongoing development, improvement and delivery of the recruit training syllabus. • Project Management of a gym improvement programme (£15,000 budget). Training – Physical Training Instructor, Tactical Civil Military Co-Operation, Team Medic, Arctic Survival, Demolitions/Explosives, Firefighting and Helicopter Evacuation.
Primarily trained to conduct fault finding, service and rectification on the Avionics suite (flight systems, radar and Comminications) on a wide spectrum of aircraft. Multiple roles in first and second line, maintenance and repair on numerous aircraft types and systems. Working under pressure around the world, deploying operationally on several occasions.
