Right now I lead product management at MongoDB, where I own strategy and execution across our core database platform, cloud migrations, disaster recovery, and self-managed enterprise business. My team spans three continents and covers everything from shipping major platform releases to designing pricing and packaging frameworks to sitting in design sessions with the world's largest financial institutions. Before MongoDB, I was a PM at TripAdvisor building consumer products (payments, personalization, conversion optimization) and before that I was a guidance, navigation, and control engineer at Northrop Grumman, building and validating flight software for autonomous systems. What I keep coming back to across all of these: the best products come from going deep with customers and engineers, making fast decisions with imperfect information, and having the honesty to kill your own initiatives when the data says you should. Joined as a PM with zero MongoDB experience. Four promotions in six years (PM → Senior PM → Lead PM → Director). Today I lead a global PM organization across core database, on-prem to cloud migrations, disaster recovery, availability, and our self-managed enterprise business. I set product strategy, own commercial outcomes, hire and develop the team, and partner directly with our largest accounts on architecture and product direction. Selected highlights: Authored the multi-year business plan and pricing strategy for a major product line, presented to our CEO and executive team. Designed the SKU architecture, GTM motions, and competitive positioning. Took over an underperforming product with high failure rates and no clear direction. Led the turnaround by building conviction on root causes, implementing a reliability-first approach, and delivering significant revenue growth within a year. Launched a company-wide availability initiative by quantifying the financial risk of underinvestment. Secured executive sponsorship and dedicated headcount. Built an international PM team, defining structure, processes, and culture. Implemented PM competency model and onboarding system that became the company standard. Shipped keynote features across multiple major releases. Made tough calls to shut down initiatives when ROI no longer justified investment. Led consumer product strategy across recommendations, personalization, and payments. Built and launched a new payments platform powering significant annual bookings, including the company's first Apple Pay and Google Pay integrations. Drove member sign-up growth through systematic A/B testing and registration flow optimization. Negotiated content partnerships with major OTAs to improve conversion.
Validated safety-critical flight guidance software for autonomous systems. Led a team in hardware-in-the-loop testing with physical prototypes. Automated test procedures in Python, significantly reducing costs and accelerating delivery timelines.
