I believe the biggest opportunity we have in the U.S. healthcare system is to change care from reactive to proactive. As a primary care physician, I have cared for patients across diverse settings—from people experiencing homelessness to Medicare patients navigating complex chronic disease. I repeatedly witness poor outcomes when the system fails to invest enough time, resources, and coordination into prevention and continuous care. That realization shaped my career. I focus on helping healthcare systems transition from reactive medicine to proactive, technology-enabled care models that support clinicians and improve outcomes at scale. Today, I serve as Senior Medical Director at Stellar Health, where I design clinical strategy for MSSP ACO and risk-bearing contracts across multi-state primary care networks. I work at the intersection of clinical operations, analytics, and product development to translate medical economics insights into scalable interventions—embedding decision support, performance incentives, and workflow-enabled technology directly into the point of care. Previously, I spent over a decade at One Medical, where I grew from frontline physician to Medical Director. There, I launched new service lines including telehealth and women’s health programs and helped scale value-based care initiatives designed to improve outcomes. I later served as Chief Medical Officer of a Silicon Valley longevity startup, partnering with engineers and data scientists to build AI-enabled health assessment platforms, launch biomarker research programs, and translate emerging science into personalized prevention strategies. Across these roles, I’ve learned that improving healthcare requires more than good intentions—it requires aligned incentives, intelligent technology, and clinicians empowered with the right tools. What differentiates my work is the ability to operate both in the business and on the business—from redesigning clinical workflows and leading care teams to shaping product strategy and aligning clinical, financial, and technological systems that drive measurable improvement in both patient and system health. I hold an MD from UC San Diego and an Executive MBA from Stanford, and I advise digital health companies building the next generation of care models. My mission is to help build a healthcare system where primary care, prevention, and longitudinal care are accessible to everyone—delivered earlier, smarter, and with dignity.
Stellar Health partners with both health plans and independent primary care practices to help them thrive in value-based care. By combining analytics, targeted incentives, and workflow-enabled technology, Stellar empowers clinicians to deliver higher-quality care while bending the cost curve. * Own clinical architecture for Stellar’s MSSP ACO and risk-bearing contracts, translating total cost of care, quality, and risk adjustment analytics into scalable performance strategy across multi-state primary care networks. * Design and build data-driven intervention models targeting chronic care management, specialty utilization, and post-acute spend — converting medical economics insights into measurable, tech-enabled workflow change through Stellar’s Application and Incentive Model. * Partner with Product and Analytics to shape roadmap and incentive logic, embedding clinical decision support, performance triggers, and provider-facing insights directly into the platform to drive behavior change at scale. * Serve as physician-operator across Product, Risk, Quality, and Actuarial teams, aligning incentives, shaping strategy, and provider enablement infrastructure to sustainably bend the cost curve.
* Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to homeless population * Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients * Supervise and mentor practitioners to enhance their clinical skills and ensure adherence to best practices * Collaborate with the administrative team to optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to enhance patient care and staff productivity * Continuously assess and improve the quality of healthcare services, implementing necessary changes and best practices to enhance patient outcomes
