Provide strategic oversight and day-to-day management of Sunnybrook’s enterprise Robotic Surgery Program, supporting clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and sustainable program growth across multiple surgical services. • Lead further execution for hospital-wide robotic surgery initiatives, aligning clinical, operational, and financial objectives. • Manage robotics program budget, performance metrics, and reporting, including length of stay, “fewer sleeps” calculations, utilization, and throughput indicators. • Drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making, workflow optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with surgical, nursing, perioperative, and executive stakeholders. • Serve as primary technical expert for robotic platforms, providing troubleshooting, escalation management, and coordination of service support to minimize downtime and maintain patient safety. • Oversee onboarding and integration of new surgical services into the robotics program, including Cardiac Surgery and General Surgery. • Coordinate training, credentialing, and change management activities to support adoption and standardization of robotic practices across services. • Act as key liaison between clinical teams, vendors, and hospital leadership to ensure program scalability, reliability, and long-term value realization. • Robotics Transformation inclusive of Da Vinci XI and ROSA robots. -Integrated Surgical Program
Project goal: improve the detection and response to clinical deterioration in patients, through the implementation of the Early Warning Scores system (EWS). This project role consists of: • Prioritizing QI/Patient Safety Initiatives. • Facilitating implementation of EWS (TAHSN priority) throughout various units, hospital-wide • Project Implementation of the EWS system • Data collection and ongoing data analysis • Continuous teaching and education among frontline physician and nursing staff • Lead meetings with advisory groups and other stakeholders to support project work • Developing education materials and communication strategies to support clinical teams (i.e. module developement, in-services, etc.) • Report directly to the Director of Quality and Patient Safety • Advisor to clinical leaders regarding assessment of impacts of incorporating EWS, from an organizational, operational, workforce and systems perspective • Collaborate with clinical teams to support and/or inform the service delivery changes through workflow assessment and redesign - Quality & Patient Safety Department
