I am an Organizational Studies student interested in social systems reform and education policy, with a focus on promoting collaborative environments, strengthening institutional capacity by designing educational framework. My work is guided by a curiosity about how educational local experiments can be the solutions to broader structures and how our current challenges in Latin America are deeply intertwined with social and institutional dynamics. My academic and community experiences include interdisciplinary work on sustainable ecosystems through the SeaGrant Program, a collaboration between ELAC and UCLA, as well as leadership as former President of the ELAC Environmental Club. In this role, I supported sustainability initiatives and collaborated with nonprofits such as TreePeople and Heal the Bay to strengthen community-based environmental engagement. I also contributed to the IQ Air quality research program with the Robert Redford Conservancy in the Inland Empire, where I gathered qualitative data through community interviews, created data visualizations, and developed bilingual educational materials in English and Spanish to make environmental information more accessible to diverse populations. Across these experiences, I have developed skills in cross-cultural communication, project coordination, and community-centered research. I am particularly interested in how organizational strategies and collective action can foster more equitable and sustainable outcomes in Latin America. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue graduate studies focused on social systems and education, with an emphasis on inclusive education and the role of public policy and non-governmental organizations in driving systemic change within communities in Brazil.
Coordinate and support the execution of multiple on-campus conferences and summer programs, serving participants from diverse national and international backgrounds by managing logistical operations, including room assignments and event preparation, while delivering high-quality customer service, resolving inquiries, and ensuring compliance with campus policies to create a positive and welcoming guest experience.
Under the Latine Inspiring Transformation (LIT) Pillar and the Native Indigenous Initiative (NII), I help organize community service and volunteer efforts that support Latine and Indigenous communities on and off campus. In partnership with the Pomona Economic Opportunity Center (PEOC), I assist with communication between students and community partners, coordinate bi-weekly lunches for 20+ labor workers, support transportation to campus, and promote ESL classes, technology assistance, and safe spaces for dialogue between workers and 5C students.
Designed and developed lesson plans and instructional materials for “The Collective Equity-Minded Training” at the DEIA+ Office at Citrus College, a faculty-focused professional development program aimed at strengthening equitable and inclusive teaching practices across a community college serving 10,000+ students and 100+ faculty members. Researched, analyzed, and synthesized scholarly literature on systemic racism, neurodiversity, and equity-centered pedagogy to support the development of inclusive syllabi, course content, and classroom practices. Collaborated closely with the Director of the DEIA+ Office to develop curriculum content, create faculty training materials, and design program resources using Canva.
