I embrace chaos...by making things clear. I'm a fixer. I get excited when things are a bit messy so that I can analyse, solution-ise, and have those 'aha!' moments when clarity comes. It comes in handy leading engineering teams, bridging the uncertainty between ideas and execution that naturally comes when working with complex tech, and people. Especially when working with diverse teams. I've seen and navigated a lot throughout my 20 years working in Tech, in diverse roles across international industries companies (Buffer, Booking.com, ASOS) globally: startup to enterprise, engineer to Agile coach to product/engineering manager, e-commerce to MarTech SaaS, C++ to Kotlin, Australia to Amsterdam. I've honed my ability to quickly identify technical and structural barriers to success, and connect broad insights to drive effective solutions. My non-linear career path has equipped me with the abilities to both see the big picture and drill down into the details (and know when to do each) and effectively align perspectives of engineering and business functions. But everything that I do is founded in my software engineering roots, so I prioritise quality, efficiency, and maximising value and use a range of data insights to drive decisions and measure impact. I help organisations scale by building robust systems and high-performing teams that streamline collaboration, optimise workflows, and adapt for evolving growth needs. I help individuals scale their impact through coaching and mentoring, cultivating growth and ownership mindsets. Whether it's a new architecture or establishing Agile delivery processes or developing a career framework, I design for purpose. Diversity is key to successful and sustainable innovation, starting with the people developing it. As Managing Director of SheSharp, I am proud to lead and build initiatives that empower underrepresented Tech talent to thrive in their careers. As an offshoot of the annual mentorship program that I run, I founded BUD to help tech talent navigate and grow in their careers with the help and support of one another.
