I've written three books (including a national award winner and a finalist), hundreds of magazine articles (including six national award winners), and health/medical documents of all stripes. Health/medical writing has been my "bread and butter" for the past 15 years of my career. Before embarking on my freelance career, I worked as a managing editor for Thomson Healthcare Communications in Toronto, overseeing the editorial and art for such publications as Current Canadian Psychiatry, Issues in Lipidology, and Contemporary Cardiology. Thomson was later acquired by Maclean Hunter, which subsequently became part of the Rogers Publishing Group.
