Responsibilities: - Crew Manager – Container Vessel Fleet: Responsible for the full crewing operations of 5 container vessels, managing over 120 seafarers across Deck and Engine departments, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and crew welfare. - Seafarer Lifecycle Management: Handling the complete crew lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, induction, performance appraisals, succession planning, training coordination, and exit interviews. - Crew Planning & Rotation: Executing crewing strategy and forecasting crew rotations based on vessel schedules, skill levels, certifications, and availability—ensuring optimal deployment within budget and charterer requirements. - Compliance & Certification Oversight: Ensuring all crew members possess valid documentation and certifications in accordance with Flag State, STCW, and charterer requirements. - Crew Welfare & Logistics Support: Serving as the primary contact for seafarers, managing travel, visa support, accommodation, and compensation-related queries. - Records & Systems Management: Maintaining crew lists and monitoring documentation and certification validity. Managing personnel data and assignment history in the OMEGA/Soft-team system, ensuring all records are up to date.
