My name is Gabriel, I was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 6.9.2024 after having read law at the University of London and obtaining my Certificate of Legal Practice from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board. Most recently, I was a Legal Associate at Messrs Justin Wee; Advocates and Solicitors, a dispute resolution legal firm. At the firm, I have had the opportunity to work closely with the partner in various corporate litigation files. In addition, I have had the honour of contributing to the prestigious Malaysian Civil Procedure (2024 Edition) for the first time. Under the firm’s dispute resolution practice, I was involved in its corporate litigation, bankruptcy/insolvency, employment dispute, land disputes and debt recovery practice. I am also personally interested in representing clients in all forms of civil litigation including breach of agreements and tortious claims (defamation, trespass, nuisance). I am involved in the firm's following practice areas: (a) Contentious corporate litigation; (b) Bankruptcy/insolvency; (c) Land disputes; (d) Debt recovery practice; (e) General civil litigation (e.g.: breach of agreements (tenancy, supply and deliver, settlement agreements) and tortious claims (defamation, trespass, nuisance); and (f) General advisory engagements.
Assisting on matters pertaining to Corporate Litigation, such as: - Conducting legal research to aid Legal Associates and Partner of the firm in drafting written submissions. - Assisted in the drafting of preliminary opinions towards an issue pertaining to Receiver & Manager Duties. - Exposed to Company Law areas of Fraudulent Breach of Director Duties and Winding Up Rules
- Handling and fulfillment of customer’s order according to their request. - Dealt with customers also as the first line of customer service.
