Collaborated with leaders across the design industry to develop and implement world-class landscape projects. Worked with the designers to set the vision and objectives for the landscape and public realm treatment. Provided design management for all workstages, overseeing from Concept to Completion. Provided head office management and technical guidance to local site teams handling implementation. Also advised on tendering and technical evaluations of landscape consultants and contractors. The developments extended across a range of asset classes, including 4 and 5 star resorts and hotels, mid-market and luxury residential communities, malls and retail spaces. Managed the design development of site designs and landscape master plans in the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Ethiopia and Serbia.
Managed the design process, coordination, implementation, contracts, bid preparation and profit and loss of Urban Planning and Landscape projects across the MENA and India region. Highly engaged in new business development. Primarily focused on housing and mixed-use community planning, and commercial business park design. Worked with a range of private developers and government authorities on large-scale master planned communities, developing Vision Plans, Concept Master Plans and Detailed Master Plans. Led Master Plan submissions to authorities in Abu Dhabi, including ADM and UPC. Was extensively involved in India with the"Smart City" initiative. Maintained hands-on involvement of the Master Plan implementation, including coordination of site infrastructure and building construction leading to the successful launch of the project.
Led the design and coordination for a series of public realm design and streetscapes for projects in Qatar and the UAE, seeing many through from Concept to Construction Documentation stages. Was heavily involved in the design management of landscape projects for Lusail City (Qatari Diar), including a feature public park and initial planning for the FIFA World Cup stadium at Lusail. Was part of the team's management with responsibility for oversight of junior employees, professional mentoring, and management of off-shore "centre of excellence" design team. Extensively involved in maintaining key client relationships and generating new business.
Designed a range of landscape schemes with a particular emphasis on Institutional projects, including Hospitals and Schools, and Public Realm works, including Parks and Plaza in Southern England. Involved in designs across all workstages, particularly construction documentation and on-site coordination. Developed and refined a hands-on approach to technical design through extensive involvement with numerous small to mid-sized landscape projects. Gained ISO-9001 accreditation for the firm and managed the Quality Management system and processes.
