• Next generation consumer product battery technologies • Design of next generation iPhone architecture including flex PCB designs, and integration of antenna, electrical subsystems and USB-C. • Design for high volume manufacturing with tolerance analysis, led prototype builds and DOEs to troubleshoot new designs, work collaboratively cross functionally across industrial designers, RF, EE, and reliability teams.
• Engineered V4 supercharging post, with liquid immersed high voltage conductors, from concept through early production ramp and defined key technical specifications. • Performed heat transfer analysis and optimization to design supercharger high voltage junction box electronics enclosure to HV creepage and clearance regulations. • Root-caused connector field failures and implemented design solutions reducing monthly services costs and supercharger post downtime. • Designed new supercharger A-surface injection molded dock, including pawl locking mechanisms, NFC payment solution and Tesla's first outdoor display integration.
• Developed innovative architecture and layout for the new generation Model S Plaid and Model X Plaid battery packs • Designed Plaid battery pack enclosure stampings for manufacturing, assembly, sealability, and serviceability • Designed high-volume power electronics injection molded enclosure for the Semi-Truck Dc Link Controller and Subpack Controller PCBs.
• Redesigned battery pack high-volume, injection molded parts to drive down manufacturing line rework time and BOM costs in automated in manual assembly • Led prototyping, fixture design, drawings, validation, and release of owned components ramping up to mass manufacturing and assembly for over 500,000 vehicles a year • Designed Semi-Truck battery pack structural components achieving structural integrity of vehicle for a target of 10 years • Led design and validation for Semi-Truck A and B sample battery pack enclosures
