Worked at Abbott for 12 weeks as a Project Management Intern learing about how projects in the context of a nutrition supply chain manufacturing plant were being managed according to their proposed timeline and budget. Shadowed 6 different projects with my senior project managers and learned the different requirements and specifics in managing each of them. Also given the responsibility to update capital expense and personal invoice tracking files and project scheduling and milestone tracking files that evaluated project health, allowing me to understand with greater detail how projects were followed and carried out within their own different stages. Some Notable Duties and Achievements: 1) Oversaw the management of 150 incoming contractors mostly as the sole Abbott staff. 2) Assisted in the planning of a week-long internal event for the celebration of women which catered to the 350 Abbott staff at AMS, involving the invitation of external speakers and hiring vendors. 3) Helped compile contractual terms for the negotiation process with a vendor and assisted in meetings involving the purchase of a multi-million dollar equipment for the plant.
• Performed synthetic biology experiments with the use of Escherichia coli (E. Coli) as a biosensor of IPTG for point of care usage. • Conducted experiments involving PCR amplification, gel electrophoresis, Gibson assembly, Plasmid extraction and sequencing. • Designed and optimised experimental workflows for 4-, 8- and 12-hour IPTG characterisations of E. Coli in Luria Broth and M9 minimal salts media. • Handled pipetting and inoculation of samples in a biosafety cabinet. • Operated the use of a microplate reader and Nanodrop spectrophotometer for data collection, along with a shaking incubator and centrifuge for experimental protocols.
I have been a Dog trainer and handler since I was in NS as my vocation and trained Labradors, German Shepherds, Malinois, King Charles Spaniels, etc. Single-handedly on some days, took care of 16 dogs. Alone. Has experience with basic injury management and suppression as trusted by my 3WO Encik. Was course best in Clementi camp out of 320 people just to enter and be selected for Dog Handler as a role because only 30 people were accepted.
• Took charge of administrative work such as organizing budget spreadsheets and writing emails to network with company partners. • Organized presentations demonstrating the usage of the av-Guardian in arteriovenous fistula injections to stakeholders. • Assisted in collecting patient results during the human trials of the av-Guardian at SGH. • Improved instructions for use' medical brochure of the av-Guardian by handling photo editing and writing instructions.
