Pécs, Baranya, Hungary
Driven by curiosity, bold by choice. A strong background in both public education and the corporate environment, currently working at Roche RSS Hungary. I value reliability, adaptability, and growth, and I thrive in environments where learning, collaboration, and innovation go hand in hand.
As a teacher, one of my main goals was to create and maintain students' motivation and interest, fostering a relaxed atmosphere and mutual respect. Additionally, it was important for me to possess confident, authentic, and up-todate language proficiency. I was open to students' suggestions, encouraging them to ask questions and emphasizing that making mistakes is part of the learning process. I tailored the curriculum of my language groups to best suit their abilities and needs, while also tracking individual progress. One measure of successful work was my students' excellent graduation results at ordinary and advanced levels, and regular intermediate and advanced language exams. One part of the teacher's job is related to teaching organization: keeping a progress journal, evaluating students, adhering to school events' deadlines. I like to complete administrative tasks on time, as well as giving feedback on and returning students' written work (tests, writings) as soon as possible. My main purpose is to always be available and transparent in my work. One of my recent positive experiences is that one of my graduate students has been accepted to a psychology program at a Dutch university, having been admitted in the top one hundred out of more than six hundred applicants. I believe that the student should primarily be thankful to herself, her motivation, and her determination for this excellent result. Still, I am glad I could walk her through the whole process from the moment she expressed her desire to study abroad. We worked on her motivational letter and her application documents; we scheduled milestones to meet deadlines, and prepared for the entrance exam.
Teaching "American Literature and Culture" and "Introduction to Literature and Cultural Studies" courses to university students at the Institute of English Studies of the University of Pécs. The courses included designing and updating course syllabi, giving presentations, designing tests and engaging research topics then grading them, providing personal support and individual feedback on students' progress.
