Business entrepreneur currently financed by my work as a surf instructor and disability support worker. Passionate about serving others and assisting those who are struggling, I have founded my own mental health and wellbeing business, the Better Yew Foundation. I aim to teach emotional regulation, self-awareness and resilience to young Australians in an engaging manner through both informative presentations and interactive activities such as surf therapy.
I founded The Better Yew Foundation to provide young people with practical, real-world tools to navigate their emotions, relationships, and everyday challenges. We deliver preventative wellbeing workshops to high schools across Sydney, focusing on emotional awareness, resilience, empathy, and personal responsibility. Our sessions are designed to be engaging, relatable, and immediately applicable for students. Alongside school programs, I am developing ocean-based wellbeing experiences that combine surfing and nature with personal development, creating spaces for connection, confidence, and growth. With a background in psychology and event management, I focus on delivering work that is both impactful and grounded in real-life experience.
Promoted within six months to senior team member and key weekend point of contact at Sydney’s largest surf school. • Primary client-facing contact during high-volume weekend operations, managing check-ins, walk-ins, and real-time problem resolution across a large daily customer base. • Handle booking enquiries, modifications, refunds, and re-bookings across phone, email, and the in-house booking system (Intrac). • Onboard and support new instructors, contributing to team culture and consistent service delivery. • Entrusted with opening and closing responsibilities, recognised by management for reliability and strong client rapport.
Job training in optics to perform as an optical dispenser providing quality customer service and eyecare. Additionally, under the mentorship of entrepreneur Dr. Steve Tang learning and implementing the key elements of business management and leadership.
