I lead the Fleet Supply Department at Hapag-Lloyd AG, one of the world's leading shipping and logistics companies. I have been in this role since January 2024, and I am responsible for the procurement and logistics of indirect materials for the vessel fleet, such as consumables, spare parts, underwater paint, and chemicals. Before joining the Fleet Supply Department, I was the Head of Middle Office for Global Fuel Purchasing for over three years. In this position, I managed a team of professionals who delivered high-quality performance and risk reporting, IT support, and supplier management for the global fuel purchasing department. I also actively contributed to shaping a sustainable leadership culture as part of the extended leadership team in Global Procurement. I am passionate about digitization, data analysis, and automation, and I leverage these competencies to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation in the global shipping and logistics industry.

A key aspect of my role involves preparing and coordinating internal and external audits for Global Fuel Purchasing, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and operational integrity. I am actively involved in negotiating terms with new suppliers and managing their onboarding, as well as ensuring adherence to FIS/SAP systems. My role also encompasses the development and implementation of innovative IT support tools to streamline procurement processes. Additionally, I am responsible for the accounting and controlling functions within Global Fuel Purchasing, playing a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and oversight in our global fuel procurement strategies.
