Fritz Myers is an accomplished music industry professional with expertise in music composition, audio engineering, concert production, music publishing, and artist management. He studied music composition and technology at Carnegie Mellon University, beginning his career as a staff mixer at Post Haste Sound in Santa Monica, CA. After five years in audio post-production, he moved to New York City and took a position at Philip Glass’s Dunvagen Music Publishers. He transitioned into artist management after Glass and his manager founded St. Rose Management, collaborating with the directors to support composers like Jeff Beal, Nico Muhly, Rachel Portman, and Paul Leonard-Morgan. In 2021 he founded Past Future Consultants providing music management and consulting to artists and organizations completing projects with David Handler, Jeff Beal, Danielle Schwob, Stuart Bogie & Buck McDaniel, Ella Hunt, Carnegie Hall, Fotografiska New York, Kino Lorber, and The New School. He is a skilled composer, audio engineer, and creative producer known for his versatile music production. His film scores include And the Worlds That Surround, The Becomers, Sushi Girl and Little Sister, named one of the 25 Best Films of the Century So Far by Richard Brody in The New Yorker. He has contributed music to notable podcasts, including the second season of Serial, Eric Marcus’s Making Gay History and the New York TImes podcast The Retrievals. In theater, he co-created The Bakken Formations: Tales From the New West with playwright Clare Drobot and provided original music for Chisa Hutchinson’s Sex on Sunday. Myers is also a sought-after recording, mixing, and mastering engineer recording and mixing over twenty projects for composer Nico Muhly and mixing Tamar-Kali's Oscar-shortlisted score for The Fire Inside. He has mastered albums for artists like James McVinnie, DM Stith, Thomas Bartlett, Olivia Chaney, Josh Kaufman, and Alex Sopp. As a partner in Historical Fiction Records, a boutique label based at Reservoir Studios in Manhattan, he works to provide a platform for artists to produce and release their most ambitious music projects. Upcoming and recent projects include a new theme for the 15th season of Making Gay History, recording strings for Elle King's upcoming RCA release, producing the 3rd annual November Variations, and the theatrical release of The Becomers, his fourth original score for writer/director Zach Clark.
