Functionally responsible for engineering delivery of projects in the Jacobs Zate. My engineering leadership team currently consists 8 discipline managers and 1 engineering manager functionally heading the 400 home office engineering resources working on projects across 3 business lines: upstream, downstream, buildings and environment. Member of the operational leadership team and as such committed for delivery of margin and location profitability. Responsible for developing, training as well as the selection process of resources to support the location plan to develop key in-house expertise. Leading the operational improvement initiatives to improve and integrate engineering processes through various digital tools varying from 3D modelling to smart applications. Process owner of the engineering standards and work processes for the location both for the implementation of the operational initiatives, global company standards as well as the locally developed work instructions to improve quality and efficiency of engineering delivery.
Responsible for full and integrated project delivery of all projects in the Jacobs Zate Pipelines Task Force (legacy Jacobs ECR) into the upstream business line within the KSA operations. The task-force is a functional unit of approximately 90+ resources. In my role I manage team's project managers, project engineers as well as the lead engineering supervisors and the project controls, support staff to successfully deliver the ongoing pipelines projects. Involved in business development and to further establish the pipelines task-force as regional and global center of excellence for pipelines and upstream full field development. We deliver and execute projects within the full range of engineering services: cradle to grave and from concept through to detailed design, procurement services construction support and hand-over to operations.
Managing daily operation and responsible for engineering outputs of the pipelines business sector task force. Responsible for resourcing, skill-set and effectiveness of engineering teams assigned to the respective projects as well as quality improvement and correct implementation of the engineering processes. Provide support to business development initiatives and as capture manager involved in proposal development for various types of engineering services contracts (front-end design, detailed design and integrated engineering services), As project engineering manager and expert in the field of pipelines involved in various major capital expenditure programmes. BP Khazzan Gas Field Development, Block 61 Sultanate of Oman – Phases I & II Phase I - Gas Gathering, Well sites and Export Systems (GWES): Development of full field exploration plan and detailed design including material procurement for first 26 wells including gas gathering sytem and gas export pipeline, condensate export pipeline and utility systems. Phase II (Ghazeer) Continuation of Phase I - detailed design for additional 60 wells under initial field development plan. Expansion into South east area of block 1 with challenging geophysical conditions and high flooding risk. Concept, front-end and detailed design for new and improved design concepts (roads, well-pads, well sites, pipelines, utilities) for this area. Also design for new gas export pipeline and capacity increase for existing condenstate export pipeline system. GES+ Programme for Saudi Aramco Involved in several refined product and natural gas pipeline projects across FEL-2 (concept) and FEL3 (FEED) stage and detailed design as part of GES+ program. The project portfolio varies from rehabilitation of existing crude oil lines to the big transmission systems such as the Master gas system and East-West crude delivery system (both app. 1200 km in length and diameter varying from 42" to 56").
