Project Lead & Design Engineer Directly manage the end-to-end development process for aircraft seating, from Initial Technical Coordination Meetings (ITCM) through to the Final Product Design Review. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary Engineering interface between Airbus, global airline customers and suppliers, facilitating on-site milestone and design reviews worldwide. Technical Approver: Exercise Design Organization Approval (DOA) signature delegations to ensure all product designs and certification processes meet EASA/FAA airworthiness requirements as well as Airbus specifications. Operational Excellence: Serve as focal point for subcontracting activities and foster continuous improvement initiatives for engineering tools and internal workflows.
Preparation and execution of customer definition workshops for the aircraft cabin in the Airspace Customer Definition Centre. Technical project management for customer-specific mock-ups of full-size cabin models for the A350 program. Support A350 display evolution projects, such as the replacement of the old Jamco ICE galley with the new Jamco ICE XL galley in one of the cabin models. Contact point for logistics activities and interface with subcontracted logistics partners. Responsible for the training of dual students within the department.
Research into the possible integration of mechatronic components into the kinematics of a passenger aircraft door. The issue was examined using an existing A350 door. In particular, new MBSE methods were to be used and the R-MOFLT framework was to be applied using Cameo Systems Modeler.
Connecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with research institutions and universities. Planning long-term R&D projects and leading the strategic support for grant applications and funding requests.
