Seit über 20 Jahren verbinde ich Strategie und Unternehmertum – von der Beratung über Corporate Venture Building bis hin zu eigenen Gründungen. 2008 habe ich das Umwelttechnologie-Unternehmen SunCoal Industries mitgegründet und bis zum erfolgreichen Exit 2023 begleitet. Weitere Stationen waren Führungsaufgaben bei Koehler Paper SE, wo ich den Bereich Innovative Solutions aufbaute. Heute führe ich gemeinsam mit Martin Böhm KAVITS (eine Marke der Frimaco GmbH) in ihre nächste Entwicklungsphase – mit Fokus auf B2B-Reparaturdienstleistungen im Consumer Electronics. Damit gestalten wir aktiv die Kreislaufwirtschaft, indem wir Handelsketten, Onlinehändler, Versicherungen, Garantieanbieter und Fachhändler mit professionellen Reparaturlösungen unterstützen. Mich treibt an, sinnhafte Themen unternehmerisch voranzubringen – von der Bioökonomie bis zur Kreislaufwirtschaft.

    As the founding head of the Innovative Solutions business unit at Koehler Paper SE (>1.3 bn sales, >2,500 employees, >210 years family business), I played a pivotal role in driving the company's growth perspectives by creating new business segments and forging strategic partnerships. My leadership in steering committees and direct investments in start-ups have been instrumental in driving innovation and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship within the organization. This was reinforced by being part of the management board and close involvement of various company functions in projects. The role also includes representing Koehler on advisory boards and panels, e.g. in the now listed additive manufacturing company BigRep SE or the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF).

    In my role as Co-Founder & Managing Director at SunCoal Industries, I spearheaded the development of a groundbreaking technology portfolio to produce performance products from renewable raw materials. This included creating Renewable Functional Fillers from lignin as a substitute for carbon black in rubber and plastic. My leadership contributed to a significant investment of >1.2 bn € by UPM Kymmene Oy from Finland in the world's first industrial biorefinery for biochemicals in Germany, showcasing the impact of our innovative solutions. From 2016 onwards I served as non-executive managing director until the sale of the company with its unique technology portfolio to UPM in 2023. As a sideline, I was on the supervisory board of a family-run diagnostics company (Analyticon Biotechnologies) focused on customized solutions for urine diagnostics and hematology from August 2013 to the end of 2025.
