Responsible for strategy primary operations (cokemaking, sintermaking, blast furnaces, steel making and hot rolling) in Flat Europe. Specific focus on decarbonization strategy.
responsible for strategy of ArcelorMittal flat steel in North Western Europe (France-North, Belgium, Western-Germany)
Responsible for upstream operations and investments, including raw materials handling, coke oven plant, sinter plant, blast furnaces, steel plant, energy management.
Responsible for operations, maintenance and investments in sinter plants and blast furnaces. Major achievements : Blast furnaces : reduce coke consumption and increase PCI to worldwide benchmark level, increase productivity with 15%. Sinter plants : increase use of concentrates and pellets feeds, installation of hot air energy recuperation. WCM bronze award for the whole department.
Responsible for order management, planning, line scheduling and external transport. Major achievements : integration of supply chain processes in 1 department with lean organisation, start of short lead time offer as special service to customers.
