Carrying out case processing and supervision of The Royal Danish Navys wide variety of ships and vessels and thereby checking compliance with ship safety policy. Issuance of orders to remedy faults or deficiencies in hulls, machinery, safety equipment, loading conditions or other material conditions that pose a danger to personnel safety or environmental pollution is also included in my tasks as a Ship Surveyor.
As a part of the education, mechanical engineering B.Eng, I had the opportunity to take an internship at OSK-ShipTech A/S, who provides consultancy assistance to the maritime sector. Here I was able to test and try the achieved skills learned at the education in real life. Tasks that I performed: hydrostatic and stability analysis, site inspection, operational costs, CAD-drawing, design of a staircase, mass calculation and FEM calculations.
