Bornem, Flemish Region, Belgium
Supply Chain Leader for several Business Units within the EMEA region, operating out of the regional HQ in Switzerland. Through our S&OP process, my teams owned the Demand, Inventory and Replenishment planning for all designated product lines (varying from small medical devices to big instruments and their spare parts). As such we drove the Service level and contribute to the financial well-being of BD EMEA.
I joined BD to create a EMEA Planning Center of Excellence in the new regional HQ in Switzerland. While offboarding the existing Belgian and onboarding the new Swiss planning team, I was also operationnaly managing the Supply Chain Planning team for the Diagnostics Business Unit.
As Supply Chain Planning & Customer Service Director I was responsible for the Demand & Supply Planning team as well as the Central Customer Service team for the EMEA region. This dual role allowed the company to optimize the service to the customers while keeping the inventory costs under control. The role was heavily focussed on people management (team of 55 of which 8 direct reports) and change management due to several acquisitions.
As Senior Supply Manager, I managed with my team of 16 planners and managers the replenishment from our production plants and external vendors to the different warehouses within the EMEA zone. During this period I was also the lead for launching a new kitting facility in Belgium (6 months E2E project).
As Logistics Manager, I was responsible for the E2E Logistics of the company's factories, including procurement of raw material; production, warehouse, inventory and transport planning. In this role I managed a team of blue and white collars.
