I co-started the Chair and was in charge fully for the last 6 years. The Chair was focused on mechanical and structural aspects of Transmission lines such as cable vibration and fatigue, structural design and evaluation of steel and advance materials towers, design method such as failure containment and system response. The research resulted in more than 5 articles in high caliber scientific journals. Through federal, provincial, and industrial funding, the Chair was able to invest in more than $1.2 Million in infrastructure and had a annual budget of $1 Million.
