Fred is recognised by Chambers and Partners as one of the most influential GCs in the UAE (ranked Band 1). He has over 20 years of legal experience in private practice (Shearman & Sterling LLP) and in-house (Saudi Aramco, ADNOC and IPIC), focusing on oil & gas (upstream, midstream and downstream), M&A and general corporate work. Amongst others, Fred was one of the architects of the modern oil and gas concession developed and currently used by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (including all related laws, agreements and fiscal regime). Fred set-up the legal department in IPIC and helped build the legal function in ADNOC.
